Jerusalem, convertere ad Dominum Deum

Every now and again there is that question: does God exist.
Just a few hours ago, I was thinking: No!
Because, if there were a God, he would have sent ten plagues upon Israel, and more, asking them: let my people live.
And because Netanyahu wouldn’t listen the plagues would continue till …

And then I thought: yes, He exists, and He is a lot wiser than I am.
Because punishing the Israelian people, and with them the seed of Abraham the world over,
would deny the hole in their soul because of their suffering, their journey in the Diaspora, culminating in the Holocaust.
The Lord knew a better place to send his plagues.

Because the Americans did a good job in WWII they surmised they did a good job in Historic Palestine.
And because they surmised they did a good job in Historic Palestine they surmised they did a good job in Vietnam.
And because they surmised they did a good job in Vietnam they surmised they did a good job in Chili.
And because they surmised they did a good job in Chili they surmised they did a good job in Iraq.
And because they surmised they did a good job in Iraq they were damned sure they did a good job in the Gaza strip.

And the Lord saw their sins and he sent a plague.
He sent Donald Trump.
Yes, der Donald doesn’t know, but he became an instrument in His hands. Not his Lord.
Neither his evangelicals’ Lord
Thé Lord.
To punish all Americans, Republicans and Democrats alike.

But He made it feel more intense to the Democrats.
Because of their damned righteousness.
They had little daily problems, yes – and Gaza was just a pain in the ass - and because of that they thought
all the problems in the world originated in the republican realm.

So Hell broke loose in USA.

Once upon a time there was a God, and he cried out: let my people live.
But no one listened.
And the Lord turned on the American people.

Washington, Washington, convertere ad Dominum Deum tuum.
Because your days are numbered.

Mene, mene, tekel upharsin.
